Our team entered the room where the school board awaited. We were full of determination to show off how proud we are of our team accomplishments. There were three brave members who decided to be the speakers. We were so pleased with how the school board meeting went.
As our members spoke, our robot was driving around and shooting a cube. We noticed some of the school board members were taking a video of our robot. They were smiling and seemed excited about our robot performing cool tasks right in front of them. I mean, who wouldn’t be? It was so cool!
The rest of our team was standing to the sides and watched with content smiles on our faces. We were happy and proud. Proud of our team and what we can do. The school board even gave one of our mentors, Chad Jorgensen, a plaque for winning Woodie Flowers. In case you don’t know, Woodie Flowers is an award given to a mentor who helps out big time and gives the students the confidence they need to accomplish our goals as a team and as an individual. We are very grateful to have a mentor like Chad!
The school board meeting went really well and we wouldn’t mind showing off our robot to them again. It was nice to see everyone having a fun time. Our robot and team left an impression of a group full of young, aspiring students continuing to thrive into adults capable of fulfilling our dreams!
